What tall trees do to an aging roof

Valleys stay packed with needles
Fir and cedar needles build up in valleys and behind chimneys, hold water, and wear the shingles there down to the mat. When the valleys are worn through and the rest of the roof is not far behind, a reroof is the better spend.

Limbs have scuffed or cracked shingles
Branches that rub in the wind grind granules off, and dropped limbs crack shingles you cannot see from the ground. We photograph every slope so you can see the damage up close.

The north side never dries
Slopes under heavy shade grow moss and algae year after year. Once the shingle edges have curled and gone brittle, cleaning will not bring them back.
Planning a reroof on a larger property
These items are priced as their own lines, so you can decide what to include:
Open metal valleys: wider valleys that shed needles instead of trapping them
Access and delivery: where the dumpster and shingle pallets go on a long or gravel driveway, and how we protect it
Shops, barns, and garages: priced separately so you can roof them now or later, in the same shingle and color
Branch clearance: we point out limbs touching the roof so they can be trimmed before the new shingles go on
Gutter guards: an option where the trees fill gutters faster than you can clean them

Not ready for a full reroof?
If the damage is limited to a valley or one shaded slope, a shingle repair may hold for a few more years, and heavy growth can be handled with our moss removal service first. A new shop or addition with no old roof to strip is quoted as new shingle installation.

What the warranty covers
The shingle maker covers the product, up to 30 years on eligible lines. Our crew backs the labor for 5 years on qualifying work. Both are written on your estimate for each building.
